Crappy Day

Well I strated the day super excited about a new phase in my life, or so I thought, struggling to choose between two fantastic houses I'd seen last week. Well, for one reason or another, both have fallen through for me. I'm so disappointed I can't tell you. I've had a little cry and felt thoroughly sorry for myself all day, and I have a stinking headache to boot. But I know I just have to dust myself down and get on with things again. So, pity party over.

Today has been the first day in my A Week In The Life project. So not the best start, but I've managed to take a few photos and make a few notes all the same, so hopefully it will all start to come together over the next few days.

Oh, and here is a page I completed yesterday. Although with her behaviour lately, it would have been a whole lot easier to do a '10 things I DON'T like about you' LO!

Twisted Sketch 45

I have to say, there are so many amazing challenge blogs out there to provide inspiration. I have so many saved to my favourites now that I can't choose which ones to participate in each week! So anyway, here is my take on sketch number 45 over at Twisted Sketches - the twist for this one being 'orange'. I feel like it's lacking a certain something, but hey ho.

Ella loves to 'feed' her baby, and I love that this is how babies are fed in her mind. I'm proud that she will grow up thinking breastfeeding is the norm, and maybe when she's a mummy, she'll be proud to feed her babies this way for real.

Easter Pics

Here's the only layout I've completed this week. I got the pics printed at the very beginning of the week, cropped them, and then they sat on my desk all week until I finally sat down and put the page together last night. Although I only just realised as I uploaded it that I haven't journaled on it, so I'll have to rectify that before I store it away in an album. And just a few other pics from the Easter Sunday that I'm not sure if I'll get around to scrapping yet or not. This is the first year I've really celebrated Easter, and I can't wait to repeat all of the new traditions again next year.

A Week in the Life

So I sometimes check out this blog that I just love. If you haven't already discovered Robyn, please go take a look and check it out for yourselves. I was intrigued about a project she posted about this week. I read all the links you'll find there, and became more and more excited, and now I just can't wait to document a week in MY life. I tend to have a slight problem with projects like these, in that I'm FULL of enthusiasm at the beginning, and then I run out of steam somewhere mid-way through, and they just never get finished. So I hope by posting about it on here, I will actually have the incentive to push through and actually finish something! And I also hope if you're reading this, maybe you'll play along too and document a week in YOUR life. I'd love to see.

In other news for the day :-) Today was the warmest day of the year so far (at least IMHO anyway, I don't have any stats to back this up!), and it was finally ice cream weather, yay!

My Mum and I took the girls to the park, we had a sandwich (Evie discovered a love of sausages - finally something savoury she will eat!) and played football/catch. There was a little boy a bit younger than her nearby with his parents, also playing with a football. I asked Ella if she wanted to go and ask him to play - and shock horror she did!!!! They played beautifully together for 10 or 15 minutes, until Ella became a little frustrated at him not talking to her and they went their separate ways. I am so proud of how sociable my little girl is finally becoming.

Book Cover Inspiration

This week I was inspired by a challenge over on Scrapbook Challenges - find inspiration in a book cover and create a LO based on that book. So here's what I cooked up tonight...

The journaling reads "As soon as I saw this book on the shelf at the supermarket, I knew I had to have it! It could have been written for you! But I have a confession....I had to get you to pose for these pictures! I browsed through my entire collection, and couldn't find a single one of you scowling!"

I hope everyone has had a wonderful Easter Sunday, and you continue to enjoy the long weekend :-)

Friday 2 April 2010

OK, so this is my third attempt at starting a blog. Previous 2 attempts totally crashed and burned, but now that my scrapping mojo FINALLY seems to have returned, I'm giving it one more shot!

Here's my most recent page, inspired by this week's challenge on Twisted Sketches :

Oh, and I preomise I'll work on the look of my blog....soon :-)
